About Meadows Valley
Meadows Valley is the big valley that holds the small town of New Meadows and the many subdivisions. It was largely a timber and ranching town but it has now become somewhat of a bedroom community for McCall as these industries have waned.
It is the crossroads for the major highways, U.S. Highway 95 and Highway 55 and intersects the state of Idaho. Meadows Valley is also a central location for all the spring, summer, fall and winter activities that a person could ever want or need from a location such as this. You can fish, hunt, canoe, kayak, swim, hike or bike all within 20-30 minutes of New Meadows. McCall, Payette Lakes, Cascade Lake, Brundage Mountain Ski Area, and Tamarack Ski Resort are all close to the east. If you go north you will find Riggins which is known for a rodeo and boat races. Meadows Valley also offers a golf course at Meadow Creek that has become pretty well known. West will take you to Lost Lake.
We also have a well know logging show, Meadows Valley Days with a BBQ, craft show and car show over Labor Day at the city park. Be sure you check out all the activities around Meadows Valley at this site.
Grocery shopping in New Meadows is very limited but there is a place to buy the necessities. Any extensive groceries should be purchased beforehand. There are several places to eat including Granite Mountain Cafe, the Intersection, A&W and the Subway sandwich shop.
